About Me

Hi, I’m Nuelma, the artist behind Nuny Arts. 

My journey into painting began during the pandemic in 2020. I already knew how to draw, but I decided to try something completely new, painting. I didn’t expect to fall in love with it so quickly, but I did.

At first, I started by creating drawings and small artworks for my friends. What began as something I simply enjoyed doing slowly became something much bigger. Eventually, I sold my first painting, and that moment gave me the confidence to keep going.

In 2021, I decided to take another step and explore something I had never imagined before: sending my artwork beyond Portugal. I was so excited to see that people outside Portugal connected with my art and wanted to have a piece of what I created. It showed me that art has no borders — something created from your own feelings and imagination can reach someone miles away.

And from there, the journey continued. 

I’m 22 years old, and I still feel like I’m only at the beginning of my artistic journey. I’m constantly experimenting, learning, creating, and discovering new ways to express myself through colour, texture, and abstract art.

Nuny Arts is still growing, and so am I.
